Daphne Cashion - Musician - Host - Producer - Get Doc'd Podcast

Meet Daphne Cashion, the dynamic force behind Get Doc’d Podcast, where untold cultural and political stories come to life. As the host and producer, Daphne masterfully blends her love for documentaries, podcasts, and music into a captivating platform that educates, inspires, and entertains.

A proud Latina, Daphne is unafraid to take risks and dive into the unknown, a quality that fuels her success in uncovering stories that often go unheard. Her fearless approach to storytelling is matched by her dedication to amplifying voices and shedding light on issues that matter.

Daphne attributes her drive and resilience to her father, a remarkable role model who transitioned from being an engineer to earning a law degree and serving as a judge—all while raising a family. His journey instilled in her the values of hard work, perseverance, and staying true to one’s roots. Equally influential is her mother, who serves as a great role model showing her how much family, culture, and where we come from matters, and teaching her the vital importance of sharing those stories that preserve our heritage and connect generations.

Beyond the podcast, Daphne’s life is a symphony of creativity and service. A former music teacher skilled in saxophone, clarinet, and piano, she’s a passionate saxophonist with a deep love for jazz, blues, salsa, merengue, African music, and Puerto Rican bomba and plena. Whether performing live or collaborating on projects, her melodies resonate with the same authenticity and soul that define her storytelling.

Daphne’s commitment to giving back is equally inspiring. As a longtime volunteer with the Daughters of the American Revolution, she’s contributed to community initiatives over the years. She’s also brought joy to children battling cancer by crafting magical yarn wigs through the Magic Yarn Project, combining her love for crochet with her compassion for others.

Her mantra, “Take risks, and always remember your background, culture, and people,” is a testament to her unwavering dedication to her heritage and her mission to make a difference.

When she’s not behind the mic or creating music, Daphne is busy orchestrating the behind-the-scenes magic of Get Doc’d Podcast, ensuring every episode is as impactful as the stories it tells.

As an accomplished Saxophonist and Jazz & Blues enthusiast, she is available for sessions, live performances, and collaborations.

Daphne Cashion is more than a host—she’s a storyteller, a musician, and a changemaker, weaving together the threads of culture, history, and humanity into a beautiful tapestry of knowledge and connection.
