David is Tejano and proud, and that pride runs through everything he does. His family roots trace back to the founding of Texas. He takes great pride in his Tejano identity. As the owner, founder, and lead trial attorney of The Farias Firm in San Antonio, Texas, he brings those roots with him into every courtroom, every client meeting, and every battle he fights for the people who depend on him.
David represents injured clients all across Texas, and his path to founding his own firm was anything but accidental. It was earned step by step. He began at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in History from 2011 to 2014. That foundation in studying the past shaped how he understands people, conflict, and the value of telling a story well. He then went on to St. Mary’s University School of Law, graduating with his Juris Doctor as part of the Class of 2020.
Like most great attorneys, David learned by doing. He worked as a Law Clerk at a large personal injury firm, putting in the work and absorbing everything he could about the practice. During his time at St. Mary’s, he also served as a Student Attorney, gaining real experience advocating for real people. After becoming licensed, David immediately began litigating as an Associate Attorney, focusing on sharpening his courtroom skills. From there, he spent more than four years in Austin, Texas, refining his skills as a trial attorney before coming back home to San Antonio, Texas.
Along the way, David earned recognition that speaks to his character and ability. He was selected as a Top 40 Under 40 civil plaintiff’s lawyer by The National Trial Lawyers. This recognition was earned through peer respect, professionalism, and his willingness to fight hard for his clients. This reputation did not come from talk. It came from results and from showing up for people when they needed someone in their corner. Additionally, David has attended several trial colleges designed to help trial lawyers build courtroom skills, become an active member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and serves on their Board of Advocates.
In May of 2026, David took the leap and officially launched The Farias Firm. Looking back on the firm’s first weeks, he is incredibly grateful for everything that has happened in such a short time. The firm doubled its docket, settled its very first case, and built new referral relationships that will help carry it forward. Every challenge and every opportunity that comes with building a law firm from the ground up has been met head-on, with the same determination that defined David’s journey from the start.
Perhaps the most rewarding part of this new chapter has been the people. Reconnecting with old colleagues, meeting attorneys from across Texas and beyond, and forming new professional relationships built on collaboration, trust, and a shared commitment to serving clients well has meant the world to him. The willingness of so many lawyers to connect, exchange ideas, and refer opportunities has been genuinely humbling.
