Gregory Horta – Top Latinos
St. Louis, MO/LWW/ Mr. Gregory Horta, Emcee/DJ/Owner of Big Papa G Entertainment & Community Outreach Specialist for Devoted Health Plans, has been recognized by the Top Latinos in the 2026 edition.

When Greg Horta, better known as Big Papa G, steps into a room, the energy shifts. His booming voice, infectious smile, and undeniable charisma have a way of bringing people together, turning any event into an unforgettable experience. But Greg is more than just a DJ or an emcee—he’s a motivator, a connector, and a beacon of positivity.
Born and raised in the Bronx, Greg grew up in a tight-knit family with three older brothers. His parents instilled in him the values of hard work, resilience, and the importance of putting a smile on your face, even on the toughest days. “The biggest lesson I’ve learned from my mom and dad is to always find a way to bring joy to others, no matter what you’re going through,” Greg shares. It’s a philosophy that has shaped his life and career.
After graduating from Walton High School in the Bronx and earning his degree from SUNY College of Technology at Canton, Greg’s love for music and his natural ability to connect with people led him to launch BPG Entertainment. What started as a passion project has grown into a fully insured entertainment company specializing in corporate events, fundraisers, community gatherings, and sporting events. From New York to Chicago, Kentucky to Missouri, and everywhere in between, BPG Entertainment is ready to bring the party to you.
But Greg doesn’t just play music—he creates experiences. Whether he’s hosting a charity 5K, emceeing a corporate conference, or leading a team-building session with music trivia, Big Papa G knows how to read a crowd and keep the energy alive. His secret? It’s all about heart. “The biggest challenge for any DJ is getting people on the dance floor and keeping them there,” he says. “But it’s not just about the music—it’s about setting the tone for the entire event. I want every guest to feel like they’re part of something special.”
Greg’s clients rave about his attention to detail and personal touch. He works directly with every client, ensuring their vision comes to life. From setting up the day before an event to making sure every song on the request list is played, Greg goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly. And with his charming personality and great radio voice, he’s not just a DJ—he’s the life of the party.
BPG Entertainment’s favorite events are those that give back to the community. Greg has proudly hosted outdoor charity events like The Hero Run benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project, the Alzheimer’s Walk at Busch Stadium, the March of Dimes at Forest Park, and VisionWalk The Foundation Fighting Blindness. “There’s something so special about bringing people together for a good cause,” he says. “It’s a reminder that love and community are stronger than anything else.”
When he’s not spinning tunes or hosting events, Greg can often be found at sports camps, playing kid-friendly music that keeps the energy high and the atmosphere fun. He’s also a go-to for University of Missouri Tigers Tailgate events and weekend conferences, where he leads music trivia and interactive games that bring people together.
In addition to running BPG Entertainment, Greg is also the Community Outreach Specialist for Devoted Health Plans. In this role, he plans and executes events and conferences focused on Medicare events or health fairs, bringing the same level of passion and precision to his work. Whether he’s organizing large-scale conferences or intimate gatherings, Greg ensures every detail is handled with care, creating events that are both impactful and memorable. His ability to connect with people and create meaningful experiences has made him a trusted leader in the field.
Through it all, Greg credits his heritage and upbringing for his success. “Growing up in the Bronx, I saw so much diversity and learned the importance of understanding and helping one another,” he reflects. “We’re all Americans, and the only thing stronger than hate is love. That’s what I try to bring to every event—love, connection, and a sense of togetherness.”
Greg’s personal life is just as inspiring as his professional one. He and his wife have built their relationship on the principle of teamwork, always striving to give more than they take. “It’s never 50/50,” Greg says with a smile. “Sometimes it’s 70/30 or 80/20, but we always work together to make 100%.”
For Greg Horta, success isn’t measured by accolades or applause—it’s measured by the smiles on people’s faces and the memories they take home. Whether he’s hosting a charity run, leading a team-building session, planning a Medicare conference, or spinning tracks at a tailgate, Big Papa G brings his whole heart to everything he does.
So, if you’re looking for more than just music—if you want an emcee who can motivate your crowd, bring people together, and create an unforgettable experience—look no further than Big Papa G and BPG Entertainment. Because with Greg at the helm, every event is a celebration of love, community, and the power of music to bring us all together.
